We often have the privilege of hearing reports of how lives are changed and hope is restored through the projects supported by Wellspring. Bombay Teen Challenge is one of these projects, serving in the Red Light District of Mumbai, India. BTC recently had a wonderful opportunity to visit the US. The following is a portion of the report from their trip:
Dear Friends,
The Lord had opened the door for eight of our young ladies to travel to the USA to attend the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Power Camp and to meet our friends and partners. They carried themselves as ambassadors of Christ to share what God has done in their lives. They spoke at several places and also met some key officials at the US Department of State and urged them to strengthen their move to stop trafficking and sexual slavery.
I would say that this 7-week trip was very successful and each of them had a great experience. They have come back with a renewed vision, energy, and encouragement. They are my successors and the torchbearers for BTC passionately carrying the vision of abolition of sexual slavery from the face of the earth.
In Him,
Devaraj
