Middle East

Two new project sites in Jordan and Syria are Iraqi refugee clinics operated through the local churches and we are excited about the opportunities to support their work. The focus of the clinic in Jordan is on a food coupon program, providing 200 refugee families the opportunity to buy some of their weekly staples such as tuna, powdered milk, processed cheese, soap, detergent, tea, rice, and sugar at discounted prices.

At the church in Syria, the focus is on purchasing a digital panoramic dental x-ray machine to be used in the medical clinic, allowing for significant improvement in the care of the 400 families that are seen each month. This project will also include providing a lab technician’s salary to facilitate use of the machine. I am deeply touched by the compassion our donors have for these refugee families, and how the love of Christ motivates them to action. As Dr. Ravi says so often of Wellspring, "love is truly the greatest apologetic."
